Dental Implants

Are you considering dental implants? If you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants are your best option to receiving the most natural-looking, long-term results. There are numerous benefits to choosing dental implants, like easier eating, speaking, and maintenance of your restored smile. Dental implants also offer protection for your remaining healthy teeth and jaw bone from degeneration/attrition while maintaining your natural facial aesthetics. No need to worry about any sinking or sagging of the face that occurs due to tooth loss.

To Determine if you are a good candidate for implants, Dr. Swigert will perform a thorough oral exam, review your health history, and may also obtain imaging that will allow a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan for a predictable result. You can rest assured knowing that the surgical team at River Rock Oral Surgery & Implant Center has received extensive training in dental implant placement. Give us a call today; we would be happy to discuss your treatment in detail and answer any questions you have about the procedure.

Wisdom Teeth

By the age of 18, the average adult has 32 teeth: 16 teeth on the top and 16 on the bottom. Each tooth in the mouth has a specific name and function. The teeth in the front of the mouth (incisors, canine, and bicuspid teeth) are ideal for grasping and biting food into smaller pieces. The back teeth (molar teeth) are used to grind food for swallowing.

With an oral examination and x-rays of the mouth, Dr. Swigert can evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth and determine if they are present or may cause future problems. Studies have shown that early evaluation and treatment result in a superior outcome for the patient.
